Our own SSB Battery brand covers the demand for a wide range of applications with various AGM battery series.
Our own brand SSB Battery stands for the highest level of quality and reliability. The SSB Battery range includes series for short discharge times in high-current applications in the UPS sector and for applications with long autonomy times in the emergency and safety lighting sector. The batteries combine a very high and efficient energy density with an extended service life.
In addition to the excellent discharge behaviour, the SB/SBL series achieves a service life of up to 12 years in accordance with the EUROBAT directive. The compact 12 V batteries with a low capacity gradation can be used for almost any requirement and any performance profile and are particularly suitable for installation in battery cabinets or on compact racks.
A high discharge current and the voltage level during discharge are decisive for the use of lead-acid batteries. The SBH series fulfils both criteria perfectly and is therefore the best choice for solid high-current applications, especially in UPS use. In addition to excellent discharge behaviour, a long service life of 6 to 9 years according to EUROBAT can be achieved with appropriate care and maintenance.
The SBL-HR Xtreme series comprises sealed and absolutely maintenance-free lead-fleece batteries. HR stands for ‘High Rate’, i.e. a high discharge current within a very short time. Xtreme stands for extremely high discharge rates and 30% more high-current power with up to 35% less space requirement compared to the SBL-HR series. In addition to excellent discharge behaviour, a service life of >12 years (‘Very Long Life’ according to EUROBAT) is achieved here. The SBL-HR Xtreme series is therefore optimally designed for solid high-current applications - especially in the UPS and diesel start sector (NEA systems). All batteries in the SSB Battery SBL-HR Xtreme series have a V0 plastic housing (flame retardant according to UL94 standard), which guarantees optimum safety and durability.
The SSB Grid Power series stands for sealed high-temperature lead-acid batteries, which represent an excellent product alternative to conventional, sealed batteries. The high-temperature lead-acid batteries impress with their compact design, high performance and a long service life of 15 years (EUROBAT classification: >12 years, Very Long Life) under extreme ambient temperatures of 35 °C. The SSB Grid Power series is completely maintenance-free, has a high savings potential in terms of energy and maintenance costs and a reduced carbon footprint. The SSB Grid Power series is particularly suitable for applications in emergency power, UPS and BSV systems.
The SSB Battery Pure Lead Power series comprises high-performance pure lead batteries with TPPL technology (‘Thin Plate Pure Lead’). Thanks to their exceptionally long service life, they are an ideal alternative to conventional OGi and OPzS batteries. Developed for demanding applications, they are characterised by a high discharge rate in a short time and a long service life. They are temperature-resistant (-40 °C to +65 °C) and can be recharged quickly. Use at higher temperatures lowers energy and maintenance costs and reduces the CO2 footprint. Typical applications include BSV/UPS systems, emergency lighting and telecommunications.
