Battery-Kutter is aware of its responsibility towards the environment and future generations. Every individual can contribute to sustainability.

We take responsibility

Companies in particular bear a great responsibility towards people and nature. The topic of sustainability is therefore taken very seriously by us. We adhere to guidelines that ensure protection for employees, customers and the environment. To protect the environment, we focus on environmentally friendly product development, energy-efficient products and services, waste avoidance and recycling as well as take-back and recycling, among other things. For us, sustainable management means that we manufacture high-quality products for our customers in strict compliance with all guidelines.

We are DIN EN ISO 14001 certified!

With the DIN EN ISO 14001 certificate, Battery-Kutter is committed to a continuous improvement process with regard to environmental management.

The ISO 14001 certificate covers the environmental management system with the following scope: development, sales and service of batteries, accumulators, charging technology, protective circuitry and battery monitoring, production of batteries in accordance with the Product Liability Act.

Quality management

Recycling process

For us, sustainability begins as early as the product development stage. Our products are developed in such a way that they can be used reliably for a long time and are easy to recycle. We also use environmentally friendly processes and technologies to conserve resources and protect the environment.

Our take-back and recycling system for lead-acid batteries makes a significant contribution to the protection of natural resources. Here you will find everything you need to know about recycling lead-acid batteries.

 

Our logistics have been awarded the CO2 seal

More and more waste is being produced around the world. A not insignificant proportion of this is industrial and commercial waste. Battery-Kutter takes this responsibility very seriously and we do our utmost to reduce waste and increase our recycling rate.

We are therefore very proud to have been awarded the CO2 seal by our partner wirkaufendeinenabfall.de. This seal certifies that we have made the following environmental improvements:

  • Reduction of CO2 emissions during the disposal of recyclable materials
  • Production of finished secondary raw materials and feed into the circular economy
  • Volume reduction of waste of up to 95%
  • Only 10% of the previously required lorry transports
  • Reduced deforestation
  • Greater labour efficiency due to less effort in shredding the material
  • Improved internal logistics thanks to shorter walking distances

Our e-car fleet

As a pioneer of forward-looking energy solutions, Battery-Kutter offers its employees an attractive mobility package: after a successful trial period, we offer every employee the opportunity to lease their own electric car through us. As part of our all-round package, we also provide our own Battery-Kutter charging stations on the company premises to make it easier to charge e-cars.

Photovoltaic system on our roof

With our planned photovoltaic system on our company building, we also want to do something good for the environment. Photovoltaic systems do not emit any CO2 during operation and are climate-neutral.
