• Fast charging capability: To minimise downtime, fast charging is essential. Lithium-ion or lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) are particularly suitable here.
• Weight and mobility: Depending on the type of mobile video surveillance, the battery should be as light and transportable as possible, especially for portable systems.
• Intelligent energy management: Modern rechargeable batteries with an integrated battery management system (BMS) offer protection against deep discharge, overcharging and overheating, which increases service life and safety.
• Possibility of utilising renewable energies: In self-sufficient systems, the ability to combine with solar panels or other renewable energy sources is an advantage to extend operating time and reduce maintenance.

The right choice of a suitable battery can significantly increase the efficiency and operational reliability of a mobile video surveillance system, enabling reliable surveillance even under difficult conditions.
