The maintenance-free lead-acid batteries in the SUN Battery Standard series are characterised by a high energy density and a wide range of dimensions and connection technologies. The 6 V batteries are ideal for supplying power to hazard alarm systems, medical accessories and much more.
The 12V rechargeable batteries in the Standard series are ideal as back-up batteries for various security systems such as burglar and fire alarm systems, smoke/heat extraction systems, emergency power systems (UPS) and medical accessories. These models have a service life of 6 - 9 / 10 - 12 years according to EUROBAT.
In the same installation space as the batteries in our standard 12V series, the high rate batteries offer approx. 20 % more capacity and can provide a particularly high amount of current for short-term discharging with less self-discharge. The main areas of application are UPS systems, emergency power systems and medical applications.
The High Cycle batteries have been specially developed for demanding cyclic operation and meet the increasing demand for high-cycle applications. With careful maintenance and care, the cycle stability can reach approx. 450 - 650 cycles at 50 % depth of discharge. The batteries are suitable for a wide range of cyclic requirements and applications, such as rehabilitation technology (electric wheelchairs, stair lifts), wind/solar energy systems, caravans/motorhomes, sailing and electric boats.
Our front terminal series (FT) fulfils all requirements for valve-regulated lead-acid batteries and, in addition to excellent discharge performance, offers a service life of up to 12 years according to EUROBAT. The most common areas of application are uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) as well as telecommunication and safety lighting systems.
Utilising unique construction and sealing techniques, our SUN Battery batteries are completely sealed. The latest technology in glass fibre fleece prevents premature drying out and enables absolute freedom from maintenance.
Thanks to the internal gas recombination of > 99 %, batteries from SUN Battery are extremely low-gassing and have a particularly long service life in conjunction with a flame-retardant standard housing material in accordance with the UL94 standard. The VdS-certified 12V batteries from SUN Battery have a service life (design life) of 6 - 9 years (general purpose) or 10 - 12 years (long life) according to EUROBAT.
Depending on the depth of discharge, our batteries can achieve up to approx. 650 charge/discharge cycles.
SUN Battery batteries can be used in a wide temperature range from -15 °C to +50 °C.
The batteries from SUN Battery have an extremely low self-discharge rate. They can be stored for up to 6 months at normal ambient temperature (20 - 25 °C). We recommend recharging afterwards - as before every commissioning.
SUN Battery batteries are manufactured to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and have further accreditations to UL and IEC standards.
Our batteries have been developed to work reliably under extreme conditions so that you can rely on your fire alarm system in an emergency.
